This round polypropylene bucket is designed for storing, handling and transporting food ingredients in commercial kitchens, food production facilities, catering operations and other professional environments.
Although sold as a nominal 20-litre bucket, it provides a measured volume of 21 litres beneath the lid and a brimful capacity of 22.1 litres. The tapered body measures 326mm across the top and 272mm across the base, with an overall height of 352mm when the lid is fitted.
The food-contact polypropylene is suitable for aqueous, acidic and alcoholic foods, milk products and foods containing fats at the surface. The construction material complies with Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 for plastic materials intended to come into contact with food.
A tamper-evident lid makes it easier to identify whether the bucket has previously been opened. This is particularly useful when ingredients are stored, transported or supplied to another location. The carrying handle helps staff move the bucket between storage and production areas.
The bucket is suitable for hot filling, but the contents and filled container should be tested under the intended operating conditions before use. Polypropylene can become more flexible at high temperatures, so filled buckets should not be stacked immediately after hot filling unless the application has been tested and approved.
For non-food contents such as paints or chemicals, compatibility with polypropylene and the lid must be confirmed before filling. Freezing applications require a specialist resin and should not be assumed suitable for this standard version.
Store unused buckets away from direct sunlight, rain and prolonged exposure to very high or low temperatures. The polypropylene bucket body can be recycled where suitable facilities are available; the handle and other components may need to be separated first.
