Reconditioned IBCs are the most popular type of IBC in use for general applications and the storage of non-hazardous liquids. The IBC reconditioning process consists of cleaning and leak testing the inner bottle. If required, any lids, valves, or gaskets are replaced. Our reconditioned IBC's are constructed using a high-density polyethylene plastic bottle and fully galvanised outer cage. They are available with steel, wood and plastic pallets.

Reconditioned vs Rebottled – what’s the difference?

Reconditioned IBCs
Professionally cleaned and prepared for reuse. A cost-effective option where previous contents are not critical. They are never suitable for food or drink storage, but are the most economical option.

Rebottled IBCs
Supplied with a brand new inner bottle and a re-used outer cage. Ideal where cleanliness and reduced contamination risk are more important.

If you're unsure which is suitable, rebottled units are typically the safer choice for more sensitive applications.

  • Site water storage and dust suppression

  • General industrial and facility use

Compliance matters: do you need an IBC bund?

Storing oils, chemicals, or hazardous liquids may require secondary containment under UK environmental regulations.
