This 6 Cu Ft Recycled Grit Bin is our most popular grit bin and is manufactured from UV-resistant, recycled polyethylene. It is ideal for storing grit/salt on both residential and commercial premises to clear surrounding paths, driveways, etc from snow and ice.
Even though it is made from recycled material, it is just as robust as the non-recycled salt bins and has the added benefit of costing less.
The grit box features an angled lid designed to minimise the amount of snow and ice settling on top of the salt bin, therefore ensuring ease of use even in winter weather. The angled lid also allows rainwater to run off.
Our range of 6 cu ft grit bins are inter-stackable up to nine high, making them ideal for storage during the summer months when not being used for storing grit salt. This also means great savings on delivery charges as up to 18 bins can fit on a standard size pallet.
Optional Extras
To keep your stock of salt grit safe and secure from theft, an optional factory fitted hasp and staple is available (padlock not included).
The optional Multiscoop is a versatile tool that can be used to quickly and efficiently spread grit or salt. It is manufactured from tough and durable plastic and features an all in one, leak free design with integrated handle for ease of use. The Multiscoop is ideal for storing inside this rock salt bin and can hold up to 25kg of grit.

A telescopic shovel can be added, which includes a clip which allows you to fasten the shovel to the inside of the grit bin for convenient storage. (This does not come pre-fitted to the grit bin, and requires assembly.)
To ensure you are thoroughly prepared for winter, we can supply this grit bin with 175kg (7Â x 25kg bags) of either brown or white salt.
Please Note: If you add rock salt to your order, this will arrive in a separate delivery to the grit bin.
