Can grit bins be used to store other items?

Absolutely, outside of grit and salt, an EverTough bin works just as well as secure weatherproof outdoor storage for tools, sand, or anything else you'd rather keep dry and out of sight. The same UV-stabilised polyethylene shell and lockable lid that keeps salt dry through winter, does the job the rest of the year too. One thing to note, if the bin has held rock salt, the residue can corrode metal tools or fittings left in contact with it. Our EverTough bins also stack inside of each other, allowing for safe storage of the bins themselves too.
