Our old english self binding gravel is varied in size, which allows it to be compacted firmly and resist displacement when trod upon. Predominantly light brown in colour, the old english self binding gravel makes pathways, borders, or cycle tracks look more natural – blending in with the outdoors.

One bulk bag of old english self binding gravel will cover approximately nine square metres at a depth of 50mm.

Please note that our self binding gravel should be laid moist in layers, using a vibrating roller, in order to create a firm and flat surface. It is also recommended that when used for paths or borders that the gravel is laid at a depth of 50mm. The gravel must also be laid on a suitable compacted sub-base and on a slight camber to allow water to disperse, as poor drainage can damage the surface.

Delivery Information

Our standard delivery method is a kerbside service fulfilled by a pallet network. As a kerbside delivery service, the driver will have access to a pallet truck, but is not permitted to move the goods across your property once offloaded.

For orders of ten or fewer units, delivery shall be made by a tail-lift vehicle. Please make sure there is a flat and clear area to drop the goods, as well as sufficient access for the vehicle to manoeuvre. Insufficient access may result in a failed delivery.

Once your order has been placed, we shall be in contact within 1-5 working days to provide a delivery date. Please note that a signature may be required for delivery to be completed.

Should you require a vehicle with a crane to lift over a hedge, fence or other obstruction, one can be requested for an additional cost. Please contact our sales team prior to placing your order for a full quotation should you require a crane-lift, or if you have any other requests or requirements.

Please be aware that failed delivery may incur a re-delivery charge.
