What are sectional water tanks?
Sectional water tanks are modular water storage systems designed for sites where a one-piece tank simply won’t fit or sites where you want to make the most of your available space. Built on-site panel by panel, they’re ideal for potable water, grey water, rainwater harvesting and more. Trusted across schools, factories and commercial sites, these tanks provide a flexible, reliable and simple storage solution.
Engineered for commercial demands
Manufactured from WRAS-approved GRP (glass reinforced plastic) panels, our tanks are lightweight, corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. The tank's interior is easily accessed through its 600mm x 600mm hatches. Smooth internal surfaces help prevent dirt build-up, while A4 316 stainless steel internal fasteners and galvanised steel external reinforcements ensure exceptional strength and long-term durability.
IFB (Internally Flanged Base) tanks
IFB tanks are the go-to choice where there’s at least 500 mm side clearance but headroom is restricted. The base fixings are internal, so the tank sits directly on a slab base without the need for additional clearance underneath. Ideal for new builds or sites with tight ceiling space but accessible sides.
TIF (Totally Internally Flanged) tanks
TIF tanks are designed for the most space-restricted sites. With all fixings internal, they can be installed as close as 25 mm from walls — perfect for plant rooms, basements or retrofits where maximising capacity is key. A smart solution for awkward or tight spaces.
Sectional tank installation
Installing sectional tanks is a no-nonsense job as long as you’ve got the prep right — they’re delivered flat-packed, so every panel is easily transported to the erection site and is simply bolted together on site. All you need is a solid, level base (concrete slab preferred), sized correctly to support the tank and its load. IFB tanks require at least 500 mm clearance all round; TIF tanks can be tucked up tight with just 25 mm space at the sides. Once assembled, the tank is filled and tested on site — no cranes, no major strip-out, just a smart, practical solution that works where others won’t fit.
