Keep your site safe and compliant with the BB1FW IBC bund, a robust, UK-compliant spill pallet designed to store a single 1000L IBC. Whether you're managing oils, fuels, or hazardous chemicals, this spill bund helps prevent environmental damage and meet all UK Oil Storage Regulations.

A clever drip tray built into the front of the unit captures leaks from the IBC tap (a common spill risk) without affecting stackability. It’s moulded as part of the bund and ensures even minor drips are safely contained.

Built from durable UV-stabilised polyethylene, the BB1FW offers full 4-way forklift access for easy handling in busy industrial settings. It's ideal for use in warehouses, farms, workshops, and manufacturing sites where mobility and space efficiency are key. The unit is nestable and stackable to optimise storage space when not in use.

A removable plastic grid allows quick access for cleaning or inspection, while the integrated 1150L sump provides more than enough capacity to capture drips or spills from IBC taps. With a UDL of 1500kg and broad chemical compatibility, this pallet is a staple for anyone serious about site safety.

UK Spill Compliance Made Simple
Under the UK Oil Storage Regulations, containers over 200L must have secondary containment that holds at least 110% of the largest container. The BB1FW meets this with a 1150L sump — more than enough for a standard 1000L IBC.

FAQs

Do IBCs need to be bunded in the UK?
Yes, UK Oil Storage Regulations require bunds for IBCs containing hazardous liquids to prevent spills.

What is the capacity of the IBC bund?
The BB1FW sump holds 1150L, over 110% of a standard 1000L IBC.

Are IBC containers bunded automatically?
No, an external bund like the BB1FW is needed to remain compliant.

Can I move this bund with a forklift?
Yes, it has 4-way forklift access. However, it should never be moved whilst laden with an IBC.

Does the bund resist UV damage or chemicals?
Yes, it’s made from UV-stabilised polyethylene with high chemical resistance.

Is the grid removable for cleaning?
Yes, the grate lifts out easily for full sump access.

Is this bund suitable for farming or production sites?
Absolutely - it's widely used across agriculture, warehousing, and heavy industry.

Can I stack the bunds to save space?
Yes, they’re designed to be nestable when not in use.

Delivery Information

This IBC bund will arrive on a pallet via tail-lift delivery. The driver will have a pallet truck, so no forklift or offloading equipment is needed on your end.

We can fit 3 bunds per pallet space, so for example, an order of 6 bunds would arrive on 2 pallets. Need help planning delivery or bulk orders? Just get in touch.

How to Empty the Bund
1. Inspect the collected liquid and classify it (oil, mixed or contaminated).
2. Use a compatible pump to remove the liquid - never dump down open drains.
3. Apply absorbents (pads, granules) to soak up residue.
4. Dispose of or recover the liquid and used absorbents via a licensed waste carrier.
5. Clean and inspect the bund for damage before re-use.
