This 1000 litre non-UN composite IBC is designed for the storage and handling of non-hazardous liquids across industrial, agricultural, manufacturing and commercial applications.
Manufactured using a UV-stabilised HDPE inner bottle housed within a galvanised steel cage, the container offers a durable and practical solution for bulk liquid handling. The integrated composite pallet base delivers strong load support while remaining suitable for forklift and pallet truck movement throughout warehouses and operational sites.
Unlike standard UN-approved IBCs, this model is specifically intended for non-hazardous liquids where UN certification is not required. This makes it a cost-effective option for businesses storing water, process liquids, washdown fluids, additives and other general-use liquids.
The unit is fitted with a large DN80 (3") butterfly valve, allowing significantly faster liquid discharge compared to standard 2" outlet IBCs. This makes it particularly suitable for applications requiring rapid emptying or higher flow rates. It is also fitted with a DN225 top opening with an integrated Gore D15 degassing system, which helps regulate internal pressure and improve operational safety during storage and transport.
What is an IBC?
Intermediate bulk containers (IBC) - also known as water tanks, IBC totes, pallet tanks and water bowsers - are reusable industrial containers, which are designed for the safe transportation and storage of bulk liquids. They are stackable and mounted on a pallet that is designed to be moved using a forklift or pallet jack.
The tubular galvanised steel frame around the container guarantees utmost stability. This also fits perfectly into the grooves of a plastic pallet; both below and above the container which enables an exact positioning and problem-free stacking.
Did you know? Storing liquids may require containment by law
If you’re storing oils, fuels or other hazardous liquids in an IBC, UK regulations (Control of Pollution Oil Storage (England) Regulations 2001) require secondary containment – such as a bund or drip tray – that can hold 110% of the largest container, or 25% of the total volume stored, whichever is greater.
This helps prevent costly spills, protects the environment, and keeps your site compliant.
