Built for Spill Control Compliance
This IBC spill pallet is a proven solution for safely storing intermediate bulk containers on construction sites, in warehouses, or in any facility where chemicals, fuels or other liquids are used or stored. It’s a simple way to stay compliant with UK spill containment legislation, and avoid costly clean-ups or fines.
The 1300L bund comfortably exceeds the volume of a full 1000L IBC, ensuring you’re covered even in the event of a catastrophic failure. Commonly used in industries such as:
- Facilities management – especially when decanting chemicals into smaller containers
- Construction & civils – to store fuel or admixtures on site
- Manufacturing & warehousing – for oils, lubricants, cleaning fluids and coolants
- Agriculture & estates – storing fertilisers or pesticides securely
Engineered for Ease of Use
- Built-in bung at the base for quick and safe draining
- Plastic grid platform supports the IBC while allowing fluid to drain into the bund below
- Single-person assembly – lightweight enough to set up without special equipment
- Tough, UV-stabilised polyethylene that won’t corrode or degrade outdoors
Included is a plastic grate and support strut, which can be assembled by one person.
Please Note: We do not recommend moving the bund whilst an IBC is on top.
Improve your spill control measures with our range of absorbents and spill kits to complement your IBC bund. Additionally, consider our IBC tanks for a complete storage solution.
We also stock a double IBC bund.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this bund comply with UK spill containment regulations?
Yes. The 1300-litre sump capacity exceeds the UK Environment Agency’s requirement that a bund must hold at least 110% of the largest container stored, in this case a 1000L IBC.
Is the bund suitable for storing aggressive chemicals or fuels?
It’s manufactured from UV-stabilised polyethylene, which is resistant to a wide range of industrial liquids including oils, fuels, solvents, acids and alkalis. If you're storing something particularly aggressive, feel free to check chemical compatibility with us.
Can this bund be used outdoors?
Yes. It’s designed for year round outdoor use. For added protection, and to prevent rainwater ingress, consider our covered IBC bund.
How is the bund emptied after a spill?
There’s a threaded bung at the base, allowing you to drain the contents safely into a suitable container. Alternatively, the content can be pumped out. We recommend using appropriate PPE and containment procedures when draining hazardous liquids.
Is it compatible with all 1000L IBCs?
Yes. It’s designed to support the standard 1000 litre IBC footprint. Check dimensions if you're using a non-standard IBC.
How do I move it when loaded?
We don’t recommend moving the bund with a full IBC on top, for safety reasons. However, the unit has four-way forklift channels so you can reposition it easily when empty.
Can I stack bunds when not in use?
Yes, they can be nested for efficient storage. Just remove the grating and support strut before stacking.
What other spill containment products should I consider alongside this?
We recommend pairing this bund with absorbent pads or spill socks for localised leaks, and keeping a spill kit on hand for emergency response. If you’re storing multiple IBCs, we also offer twin IBC bunds.
