This 1000 litre UN-approved composite IBC is designed for the safe storage and transportation of liquids across industrial, chemical, manufacturing, agricultural and commercial environments.
Manufactured using a UV-stabilised HDPE inner bottle within a galvanised steel cage, this IBC combines durability with practical handling and transport performance. The integrated composite pallet base provides strong load support while remaining suitable for forklift and pallet truck handling.
Fitted with a DN50 (2") PE butterfly valve and camlock connection, the container allows controlled liquid dispensing while helping reduce spills and operator mess during decanting processes. As this is not a standard valve fitting for most people, we have included a 2" camlock x S60x6 thread adaptor with each unit.
The container is suitable for a wide range of liquids, including water, wetting solutions, white spirit, acetic acid and certain chemicals, with UN approval for densities up to 1.6 SG depending on filling group. The unit features a 150mm top filling opening with EPDM sealing for secure closure during storage and transit.
Its stackable design helps improve warehouse efficiency and transport utilisation, making it suitable for manufacturers, chemical distributors, facilities management companies, agriculture, engineering operations and industrial supply chains.
What is an IBC?
Intermediate bulk containers (IBC) - also known as water tanks, IBC totes, pallet tanks and water bowsers - are reusable industrial containers, which are designed for the safe transportation and storage of bulk liquids. They are stackable and mounted on a pallet that is designed to be moved using a forklift or pallet jack.
The tubular galvanised steel frame around the container guarantees utmost stability. This also fits perfectly into the grooves of a plastic pallet; both below and above the container which enables an exact positioning and problem-free stacking.
Did you know? Storing liquids may require containment by law
If you’re storing oils, fuels or other hazardous liquids in an IBC, UK regulations (Control of Pollution Oil Storage (England) Regulations 2001) require secondary containment – such as a bund or drip tray – that can hold 110% of the largest container, or 25% of the total volume stored, whichever is greater.
This helps prevent costly spills, protects the environment, and keeps your site compliant.
