LockEx controlled pressure door system
This model features the LockEx controlled pressure door system, developed by CEMO. If a lithium battery fails violently, pressure can build rapidly inside the cabinet. Standard doors may be forced open or blown off, allowing heat, flames and debris to escape.
LockEx works by:
- Allowing controlled, limited door movement
- Safely releasing internal pressure
- Automatically re-locking, maintaining the cabinet’s protective shell
Benefits:
- Reduced risk of flying debris
- The cabinet remains intact during pressure events
- Lower chance of fire or heat spreading to nearby equipment

FAQs
What’s the difference between 230V and 400V versions?
It refers to the cabinet’s power input. Choose the version that matches your facility’s voltage supply.
Do I need a Basic or Premium cabinet?
Basic is suitable for most general use. Premium adds extra safety measures like smoke-triggered power shutoff and BMS connectivity, ideal for sensitive sites or where risk is higher.
What does ‘permissible energy’ mean?
It’s the total output capacity of the batteries stored, not their physical size. This cabinet supports up to 12,640 Wh total.
Is this compliant with safety standards?
Yes. It’s VDMA 24994 fire-tested and TÜV certified, meeting high European safety benchmarks.
How do I know what size cabinet I need?
It depends on the total energy output of your stored batteries. If unsure, we’re happy to help, just give us a call.
Can I use this in a school or office?
Absolutely. It’s designed for indoor use in educational, commercial, and industrial environments.
Do you offer trade pricing?
